built different
Nemi wasn't just designed to look good — it was built to mean something. Every decision, from the foundation up, was made with sustainability, resourcefulness, and longevity in mind.
shipping container architecture
The building blocks of Nemi are repurposed shipping containers — and not by accident. Containers are structurally engineered to withstand the harshest coastal conditions, making them ideal for hillside living on the Pacific. Rather than conventional construction, most of the bedroom pods were fabricated off-site and transported to the property, dramatically reducing on-site waste and environmental disruption. It's smart design that also happens to look incredible.
the pool
Our 40-foot pool is built from a repurposed shipping container — a sleek, modern take on sustainable design. Set against the hillside with a cascading waterfall and lush tropical surroundings, it's the kind of pool you won't want to leave.
natural airflow design
The entire property is designed to work with the hillside breeze, meaning air conditioning is the exception rather than the rule. When you do need it, all rooms are equipped with energy-efficient units.
no tvs - intentionally
We made a deliberate choice to leave televisions out of every room. Nemi is designed to pull you away from the noise and toward the people in front of you. Better conversations happen here.
LOCALLY SOURCED GROCERIES AND MEALS
When you rent the full villa, our cook prepares gourmet breakfasts and snacks using locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible. Fresh, seasonal, and rooted in the region.
